What intrigues me the most right now is the concept of a fruitful resource. I somewhat image this game as a mix between Minecraft's Industrial Mods and those large space economy games. This being said, colonizing around a planet plentiful of minerals would be an interesting concept. I already imagine a planet whose sky is blocked from a layer of atmospheric ships working to strip the surface of its riches!
This is what I conceptualize as the game's 'big business' and I think its brilliant. Something like that could overtake and control the game's economy!
Also, do you think that generous planets would be used to capitalize safe havens or "home worlds"? This also goes with the DCPU-16 and communication. I am a government worker and we run on Outlook. It is one part email and another part social networking, so do you think that is also a possibility and beneficial for bigger economic domination for 0x10c? Oh the possibilities!
